Working from home may have you looking for more outlets to charge that phone, laptop, desk light, space heater, and whatever else you may need. As your fire safety experts, we’ve decided to provide a few tips to avoid a fire.

Please do NOT plug power strips into extension cords and do NOT plus extension cords into power strips.

Do NOT use an indoor extension cord outdoors! They're not built for outdoor elements and weather.

Don’t overload your power strip. There are light-duty power strips, medium-duty power strips as well as heavy-duty power strips. The light-duty ones are for things that require less amp usage, the medium-duty ones can hold a bit more than the light-duty ones and the heavy-duty ones can handle things like small appliances.

Here at SERVPRO we always want to help you put your best foot forward to avoid any fire, water, or mold damage. In the event that you do experience water damage, we’re here to help!
